This is something useful. There has been a feature in Synaptic package
manager for a while which allow you to search and select the packages
you want to install, and then generate a script to download the packages
necessary. From the sound of it you are doing the same with your project.

I think so. Since this allows the use without having to use synaptic package
manager, it's be more convenient to have around, specially in command
line only environments.
